Holycat Terms of Use

Welcome to Holycat. These Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Agreement”, or “EULA”) govern your use of the Holycat mobile application available on the Apple App Store.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Holycat (“App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms,” “Agreement,” or “EULA”) are a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and bys7 Studio regarding your use of the Holycat mobile application available on the Apple App Store.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Holycat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.

3. License Grant

3.1 Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, bys7 Studio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Holycat on your personal iOS device for your personal, non-commercial use.

3.2 License Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, adapt, alter, translate, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, assign, distribute, or transfer the App or rights granted hereunder
  • Use the App in violation of applicable laws or regulations

4. App Features

Holycat may include features such as:

  • Daily Affirmations and Prayers: Read and save affirmations and prayers
  • Daily Verse: View a verse of the day (where available)
  • Todo List: Create personal todo items and routines
  • Mood Tracker: Track moods and reflections over time
  • Daily Streaks: Maintain streaks for consistent practice

Features may change over time. Some features may be available only in certain App versions or regions.

5. Important Disclaimers (Mood Tracker & Wellbeing)

Holycat is intended for spiritual encouragement, habit-building, and personal reflection. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or professional counseling advice.

If you are experiencing a crisis or need immediate help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Maintain backups of your data if you choose (we are not responsible for device loss/failure)
  • Not use the App to create or store illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the App or its security features

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design and software, is owned by bys7 Studio and is protected by intellectual property laws. Holycat and related branding may be trademarks of bys7 Studio.

Your Content: You retain ownership of the personal content you create in the App (such as affirmations, notes, todo items, and mood entries). The App processes this content locally on your device. If you share content with us for support, you grant us a limited license to use it solely to assist you.

Scripture / Verse Content: Any scripture text, verse references, or related content displayed in the App may be owned by third parties and subject to their terms. You agree not to reproduce or distribute such content except as permitted by applicable rights.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall bys7 Studio or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your requirements.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Venue

You agree that disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

13. Apple App Store Terms

These Terms are between you and bys7 Studio, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service.
